Red Spots
A cherry angioma is a benign skin growth that appears as a small, smooth, cherry-red bump. They are fairly common skin growths that vary in size. They can occur almost anywhere on the body but usually develop on the trunk. They are most common after age 40.
There are multiple laser treatments for cherry angiomas. We use an IPL (intense pulsed light).
FAQ
What is Intense Pulsed Light?
This incredible new therapy is based on emitting high intensity pulses of light (not lasers) to penetrate the skin and rid you of various complaints.
What should I expect after my Intense Pulsed Light treatment?
Since there is no real "downtime" you may resume your normal activities after a Pulsed Light treatment. However you must protect your treatment area from UV light, be it natural sunlight or tanning beds.
Does Intense Pulsed Light hurt?
Although all pain thresholds are different - you may feel anything from a sensation of warmth to a sting as if a rubber band has been snapped against your skin.
Are these treatments safe?
Yes. Lasers and advanced light systems have been used safely on millions of patients of all ages worldwide. These systems treat only the targeted spots, leaving the surrounding tissue intact.
How many treatments will I need?
Usually only one treatment is needed for removal of the angioma
